All Richmond Shire residents are reminded that:
Non Restricted Watering
Handheld hoses can be used by all on any day and any time, but may not be left unattended.
Restricted Watering
No sprinklers or fixed irrigation systems can be used from the hours of 9.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Sunday.
Sprinklers and fixed irrigation systems on timers can only be used between the hours of 4.00pm to 9.00am.
Council infrastructure will have different watering times.
The aforementioned information does not apply to recycled water or private bores.
In accordance with the Water Supply (Safety & Reliability) Act 2008, Council may apply fines to residents not complying to the above mentioned restrictions.
Fines will be in the order of one penalty unit (equivalent to $130.00) per offence.
Water Allocations
Council is in the process of monitoring water usage with the view to implement allocations. A community meeting will be held prior to allocations being put in place
