Local Fire Ban Declaration
PROHIBITION ON THE LIGHTING, MAINTENANCE AND USE OF FIRES IN THE OPEN
In accordance with the provisions of Section 145M Fire Services Act 1990, and with due regard to fire conditions and the fire weather forecast issued by the Bureau of Meteorology, a Local Fire Ban is hereby imposed as described below.
Initial Fire Ban period was for 0001 22/09/26 to 23:59 hours on the 27/09/26.
A prohibition on lighting fires in the open applies for the period 0001 hours on 28/09/2026 to 2359 hours on Day, 02/10/2026 in the fire ban area (s) specified her under:
- Shire of Richmond
- Shire of Flinders
- Shire of McKinlay
