Membership & Borrowing
Membership is free for all Richmond Shire residents, with no minimum age.
Borrowing Limits
- Town Borrowers: Up to 4 items for 2 weeks
- Country Borrowers: 6 or more items for 4 weeks
Additional benefits include:
- Reservations on items currently on loan
- Requests for materials not held locally via the Public Libraries Service
- Borrow immediately upon joining
- Tourist Membership: Rural Libraries Queensland (RLQ) offers a free 6-month Tourist Membership for travellers, providing access to books, audiobooks, and digital resources (eBooks, eMagazines) across 60+ locations in regional and outback Queensland. It allows borrowing up to 4 physical items and accessing online content while on the road, with options to return items at any participating RLQ branch.
Members are responsible for any loss or damage to borrowed items.

- Printing (A4 Colour, single‑sided): $1.75 per page
- Printing (A4 Black & White, single‑sided): $0.75 per page

The library provides free self‑service access to Services Australia facilities, including:
- Phone, fax, and computer access
- Information products and forms
- Photocopying and proof‑of‑identity sighting
